Incentive measures

Saxony-Anhalt belongs to highest ranked development areas of the European Union. Commercial und industrial investions are supported at the highest possible rate. As a rule the European Union, the German Government and Saxony-Anhalt's Federal State Government together make funds available. Furthermore the qualification of personnel is subsidized.

Investment by industry and selected services can be funded up to:

• up to 50 percent for small businesses
• up to 40 percent for medium enterprises
• up to 30 percent for all other companies

Also the KfW SME Bank and the Bank of Saxony-Anhalt offer favorable investment loans. The guarantee bank and the state of Saxony-Anhalt also provide guarantees for investment loans. The Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft and the IBG Beteiligungsgesellschaft engage in promising projects with equity.
