Within the Zeitz Chemical and Industrial Park, the following research facilities are active for further development of site and region:

• the competence center for industrial bio mass processing Kompetenzzentrum für die Industrielle Verwertung von Biomasse GmbH Burgenlandkreis (KIVB)
• the Research Lab (Forschungstechnikum) of the ZEAG (Zeitzer Energieagentur GmbH)
• the Institut für Neuwertwirtschaft FTZ GmbH (IfN)

These facilities see themselves as intermediary between science and business, well-positioned for the implementation of developments in the field of technology and product design.

They act as research and service facilities for Zeitz Chemical and Industrial Park investors, for enterprises in the region as well as in Saxony-Anhalt and beyond.

Due to their modern equipment, they are able to optimize existing production processes and to develop innovative products and/or technologies for small and medium-size enterprises.

These facilities have a broad working range. Core activities are:

• Preliminary research for product and process development
• Establishment and expansion of cooperation networks
• Organization and intensifying of technology transfer
• Project development and assistance
• Development of ready-to-use knowledge by way of seminars and workshops
